Travis Kelce agrees to new contract with Chiefs

All-Pro tight end to stay in Kansas City through 2026

The Kansas City Chiefs and star tight end Travis Kelce have agreed to a two-year, $34.25 million contract extension, the team announced Monday.

The deal keeps Kelce, 33, in Kansas City through the 2026 season. He was entering the final year of his previous contract and was scheduled to make $10.4 million in 2023.

Kelce has been one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL since joining the Chiefs in 2013. He has been named to eight Pro Bowls and has been a first-team All-Pro selection four times. Kelce has also been a key contributor to the Chiefs' success, helping the team win two Super Bowls in the past four years.

The Chiefs are thrilled to have Kelce back in the fold. He is a vital part of the team's offense and is one of the best tight ends in the game. With Kelce locked up for the next two seasons, the Chiefs can focus on other areas of their team as they look to make another run at the Super Bowl.

Kelce is excited to continue his career in Kansas City. He has built a strong relationship with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the two have formed one of the most dynamic duos in the NFL. Kelce is also a fan favorite in Kansas City and he is excited to continue playing in front of the Chiefs' passionate fans.

The Chiefs and Kelce are both happy to have this deal done. It gives the team stability at the tight end position and it allows Kelce to continue his career in Kansas City, where he has become a star.
