MotoGP: Zarco on pole, Espargaro sixth after 115mph crash

Johann Zarco will start from pole position for the British MotoGP at Silverstone after a thrilling qualifying session on Saturday. The Pramac Ducati rider set a blistering pace to finish ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team).

Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) will start from sixth place after a high-speed crash at Turn 12. The Spaniard was taken to the medical centre for checks but was later declared fit to race.

The British MotoGP will take place on Sunday, August 7, at 1pm BST.
