The Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Selection Series will determine which team will face the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand.

The Teams

There are six teams competing in the Challenger Selection Series:

• Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team (Italy)
• INEOS Team UK (Great Britain)
• Stars + Stripes Team USA (USA)
• Alinghi Red Bull Racing (Switzerland)
• Team New Zealand (New Zealand, as a Challenger)

The Format

The Challenger Selection Series will be held in Auckland, New Zealand, from January 17 to February 22, 2021. The teams will compete in a round-robin format, with each team facing each other once. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, which will be held in a best-of-seven format. The winner of the semifinals will face the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand in the America's Cup match, which will be held in a best-of-13 format.
